About 5 years ago I was recruited by a 6 figure earner into one of the largest and most successful mlm companies out there. I was shown some fabulous, life changing products and the most “powerful compensation plan” ever conceived. I came in excited. I thought for sure that I could be as successful as my upline. He did what he wanted when he wanted and was never short of money. So naturally, I asked “how do I build an organization like you? I want to earn the 6 figure residual income too!” His answer? Go talk to friends and family. What? That was the marketing strategy?
If I had listened beyond the hype, I would have heard him say that he had been with this particular mlm company for 17 years and only just 2 years ago did he get to the highest income level in the company. I may have thought otherwise about joining. Not because it wasn’t a great opportunity but because I had just moved to the area and didn’t have that many friends or family nor did I want to spend many years chasing them. But I wanted it so bad, I tried anyway.

How many times have you heard that? After hearing “I haven’t decided yet” or “I am still looking at several options” way too many times, I decided that chasing friends and family was not the way to build a huge downline and make 6 figures. So I did what most everyone else does soon after they join a network marketing company. I quit.
Well, I quit for a while anyway. Once you are bitten by the network marketing opportunity, you get addicted and it is difficult to walk away from it. I mean, once you see the power of residual income, you never want a J.O.B. again! You crave the time and money freedom that mlm can provide.
3 Step Master Success System
So after some time thinking and searching, I figured if I was going to join the network marketing industry again, I need to have a marketing system that will do the following:
1. Generate a tremendous amount of leads daily and not necessarily be my warm market. The system must find people who are looking for change.
2. Have a shifting tool. This system must be able to separate the tire kickers and the serious prospects.
3. A presentation funnel. The system takes the serious prospects, puts them in a system that builds a relationship, adds credibility and ultimately leads them to signing up with your company.
To truly become a leader and top producer in whatever network marketing company you are passionate about, you need to stop harassing friend and family who aren’t interested in joining. You need to have a marketing system in place that generates leads and then develops these leads into new downline. This system must be easy to master so you can duplicate your efforts by showing your new recruits exactly what you did, so they can do it too.
